Dr. Nicholas Lambrou is gynecologic oncologist at The Mount Sinai Comprehensive Cancer Center. He is board certified in gynecologic oncology, as well as obstetrics and gynecology.
After earning his medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine, Dr. Lambrou completed an obstetrics/gynecology residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore and a fellowship at The University of Miami. His expertise includes surgical and chemotherapy treatments for women with gynecologic cancer. In 2006, Dr. Lambrou began a focus on the integration of robotics to minimally invasive surgery and is considered an expert in minimally invasive robotic surgery.
Dr. Lambrou has been published extensively in medical textbooks and scientific journals, including Journal of Supportive Oncology, The American Surgeon, Cancer Journal and American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He has lectured nationally and internationally on surgical techniques and the treatment of cervical, ovarian and other cancers. He also has participated in laboratory research on the human papillomavirus (HPV) and cervical cancer prevention.
Dr. Lambrou is a member of the Society of Gynecologic Oncologists, the Howard A. Kelly Gynecologic and Obstetric Society and Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.
